FFA 2010 Coaching Conference to be held in Brisbane
Friday, 04 December 2009

Queensland coaches have been given a boost with the announcement that next year’s FFA National Coaching Conference will be held in our very own backyard.

W
ithout the need to travel interstate, this is a wonderful opportunity for Queensland coaches to learn from the best in the business while keeping the costs of travel and accommodation down.

Qantas Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek will join FFF (Football Federation France) Technical Director and former Liverpool FC coach Gerard Houllier as the key note speakers, along with FFA National Technical Director Han Berger, Westfield Matildas coach Tom Sermanni and a range of other football experts in the Coaching Conference that will take place in Brisbane from 2 – 4 March 2010.

In a further boost, all coaches will get a chance to see our national team in action as each person who attends will receive a ticket to the Asian Cup Qualifier between the Qantas Socceroos and Indonesia at Suncorp Stadium on 3 March 2010.

With FFA recently changing their policy on how coaches are able to renew their Advanced Licences, the conference will give coaches 50 update points towards their reaccreditation.

Coaches need to accumulate 100 points over the four years that their licence is valid to renew any advanced accreditation and from 2010, coaches will only be able to gain update points from the FFA National Coaching Conference or approved coaching courses run by state federations (these courses give coaches 25 update points).

The 2010 FFA National Coaching Conference will take place at Sheldon College, 5 Taylor Road, Sheldon on Tuesday 2 March, Wednesday 3 March and Thursday 4 March from 9am to 5pm each day.

If you pay by 17 January 2010, not only do you receive a discount on your conference fee but you will go into a draw to win a match ball signed by the team captains from the Asian Cup Qualifier between Australia and Indonesia.
