Queenslanders attending the National Futsal Championships in Canberra this week have been recording excellent results, with six teams still in contention for a Grand Final berth going into the last round of matches on Thursday afternoon.  Following these games two teams qualified, the Under 14 Girls and the Open Women.

UPDATE:  The Queensland Open Women have won the National Championships in a thrilling Grand Final match 3-1 Against the ACT. To see the media release regarding the final  CLICK HERE.   

The Queensland Under 14 Girls unfortunately went down 4-2 in a courageous match against the NSW Thunder.

A number of Queensland representatives were winners of individual awards for the Championships. These were:

Tournament MVP:  Under 14 boys - Kayden Oakes, Under 15 girls - Madeleine Piper,

Grand Final MVP:  Open Women - Kate Orkild

Tournament Golden Boot: Open Women - Rebekah Stott
