MEN | Bundaberg Wildcats v Peninsula Futsal Club
Dale Watson’s treble wasn’t enough for Bundaberg to avoid a fifth straight match without victory as bottom-placed Peninsula scored late to hold the hosts to a 7-7 draw.
Watson scored twice before the break in helping the Wildcats to a 4-3 lead, but Peninsula responded with four of their own in the second half to eke out a second point of the season.
Jack Porter’s second of the match brought the visitors to within a goal with 10 minutes remaining and Steve Thomas secured the fighting draw with an equaliser a minute from full-time.
While yet to register their first win, an improving Peninsula have now grabbed draws in two of their past three fixtures.

WOMEN | Bundaberg Wildcats v Peninsula Futsal Club
Victoria Brebner scored twice at the death to secure Peninusla Futsal Club a miraculous 4-3 win away to Bundaberg Wildcats.
Brebner’s late double strike all but seals Peninsula’s finals berth after it looked as though they would have to wait at least another week to sew up a top four spot.
Bundaberg started brightest as Madelyn McCracken opened the scoring inside a minute and Leticia Maxey-Fisher soon made it 2-0.
After Brebner scored to keep the visitors in the contest, Allison Johns pulled it back to 3-2 in the contest as Peninsula sought their first win since round three.
Brebner duly obliged with two goals at the death marking her side’s fourth win of the season, enough to be only a mathematical chance of slipping outside the finals places.

Leading 7-2 at half-time, Wave bettered their first 20 minutes by scoring seven goals to Arana’s one in the second half.
Joshua Nisbet inflicted the most damage with a five-goal haul, including the game’s opening two goals.
Arana did have some early joy through Conor O’Neill and Trent Davidson goals within the first 10 minutes, but could only add one more when O’Neill made it a double in the 29th minute.
Sunshine Coast, however, were largely untroubled in capitalising on second-placed South Brisbane’s earlier draw with Redlands City.
The club will be presented with its premiership trophy at the finals weekend in February.

South Brisbane hit back through Stone and Connor George after the restart, before the former cancelled out Quan’s third to complete the scoring.
